Is Your Dog Suffering From Stress?

All this week, we here at PetSci are going to be raising awareness of canine stress. Just like us, dogs too can suffer from stress and stress can unfortunately cause some negative effects.

In some mild to moderate cases, stress can go unnoticed in dogs (although you’re probably going to notice if your pet is really stressed). To help with this, we’ve built the PetSci Canine Stress Calculator. This ‘calculator’ asks around 30 questions about your dog, their environment, diet, exercise and a few other questions.

All the questions are weighted and contribute to a final score, once all the questions have been answered and you hit ‘Calculate’ you will receive your results.

Scores are out of 100% with 100% being the most stressed. Some advice will be given as well depending on whether or not your dog seems stressed.

Whilst this calculator provides an accurate guide – it should not be used a definitive diagnostic tool. If you dog is showing symptoms of stress then you should consult professional advice from a veterinarian or behaviourist.

We’ve added the calculator below for you to have a go with – if you use it, be sure to let us know what results you get!
