Where in the Woof?: An Infographic on the Origin of Dog Breeds
Around 15,000 years ago, man befriended the Grey Wolf. Man domesticated the wolf and they learned to live together in harmony.

In the different regions, different tasks were required of the wolves – catching prey, retrieving, carrying luggage, standing guard and many more. Over time, the wolves were bred to become more adept at their tasks, until eventually they became the array of dog breeds we have today.
